Associate Minister Marcus Turnley is a man on fire for the Lord. He became a disciple of Washington Street Baptist Church in 1996 at the age of 25 years old. He quickly immersed himself into ministry serving as Sunday School Director and Director of Transportation Ministry.
Currently, Minister Turnley serves as Sunday Morning Alive Leader Learner for the Men’s Fraternity Class, Minister of the Men’s Fraternity (Men’s Ministry) and Trustee. He has been married to Arveta Mishea for 23 years and they have two children Keari (24) and Kamari (20). Minister Turnley is a graduate of the University of Kentucky Physician Assistant Program in 1996 and is employed at Lourdes Hospital as a Physician Assistant. He is a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc.
In Minister’s own words, “I feel that the Lord is saying to me and all men that it is urgent. We have to purposely and intentionally draw all people especially men to Christ. Often times, we as men have looked at imperfect role models to pattern our lives. It is only through Christ that we find the perfect role model. Sometimes men can think this Christian walk is weak or soft. Nothing is further from the truth. It takes real men to stare down Satan. It takes a real man to move with compassion. It takes a real man to freely give his life.”
